Lighting for the right atmosphere
The Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier is one of the most significant urban development projects in Germany. As the new center of Hamburg’s HafenCity district, it combines living, working, shopping, gastronomy, hotels, as well as cultural and leisure facilities to create an open and vibrant urban environment. An ensemble of 13 architecturally distinctive buildings forms a lively destination that is optimally connected to the city through its own subway station and additional mobility services.
Lighting with a Focus on Safety and Atmosphere
On behalf of Bartenbach GmbH as well as the investor and operator of the entire district, Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, we had the opportunity to supply a significant portion of the luminaires for this project. In an urban district like this, lighting plays a central role: it provides orientation, enhances safety, and at the same time creates a pleasant atmosphere in which visitors and residents alike feel comfortable.
The implementation placed high demands on planning, quality, and reliability. In a project of this scale, lighting solutions must be both functional and aesthetically integrated into the architecture. Our luminaires contribute to a high-quality, durable, and atmospheric lighting concept throughout the entire district.
